A brief ask to you, my subscribers

Hi everyone,

First of all, I want to take the time to specifically thank all of my subscribers for their support. Whether you're a free or paid subscriber, you are supporting my work. Some of the articles I publish take quite a bit of time and research to make them up to the standard I'd like for this blog, so your support means a lot to me. Truly.

Paid subscribers have especially been helpful in me getting this blog off of the ground. I do have some costs associated with the blog - Ghost's site fee, subscriptions to news publications I maintain mostly for blog purposes, etc.

We are entering the proverbial eye of the storm these next 6ish weeks as election season enters the home stretch (not to mention the strong possibility of an ugly post-election period). I promise that I have many more articles lined up - in fact, a subscriber-exclusive post will be getting published shortly after this post is up. You may recall that I am making subscriber-exclusive posts available to ALL subscribers, paid or free, at the moment - but likely later in the year I will be making them for paid subscribers only. Remember, the lowest paid subscription tier is just $3/month - not even the price of a large McDonald's fries! - and that will give you access to the future paywalled subscriber-exclusive posts.

My main posts will remain free for all to read, of course. I just want to make sure my paid subscribers feel like they're getting something out of it. Exclusivity sells, baby!

So, the ask: if you know just one person who might be interested in my blog, please do tell them about it - and encourage them to subscribe! Even if it's a free one, that still helps me.

And if you haven't done a paid subscription yet, and have the means to do so, please consider it. My lowest subscription tier is just $3/month, and it helps me defray the costs of the blog. I am in this for the long haul, and I am happy that my posting has gotten more frequent over the past month.
